Contributor Terms
The terms for using Horizon and earning rewards for your work.
These terms apply when you use Horizon: the Horizon phone app and horizon.robotensor.ai, run by Robotensor (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you accept them, and our Privacy Notice.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and allowed to use the service where you live.
- One person, one account. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- A wallet can be linked to one account only.
Your work
- Do real work yourself. Duplicated, recycled, fabricated or manipulated contributions are rejected.
- No agents or bots. Work made by an agent earns nothing.
- Use a genuine phone running the genuine Horizon app. Phones that fail hardware attestation, or that are blocked, earn nothing.
- Record your own hands in your own space. Do not record other people without their permission, or anything illegal, private to others, or that you have no right to share.
- Review what you submit. Recording starts only when you start it.
Rights in what you submit
You keep ownership of what you record. When you submit a robot session or recording, you give us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to store, process, redact, label, combine and use it, and to include it in datasets that we use and license to others, including for training robots and AI models. You confirm that you have the right to grant this. Closing your account deletes your work from the platform, but datasets already released keep the redacted copies.
Points and rewards
- Accepted work earns points. Each week the contributor pool’s Attune subnet alpha is split among eligible contributors by their share of the week’s points, as described in How rewards work.
- Points and rewards are not wages or a salary, and using Horizon does not make you our employee or contractor. The amount of alpha in the pool, and its value, change with the network and are not guaranteed.
- Rejected work earns nothing, and every rejection comes with its reason. Work that is reversed later, for example after a fraud check, is taken off your later points.
- An open fraud case, a restricted account or a blocked phone pauses payouts until it is resolved.
- Withdrawals pay the real Bittensor network fee, taken from the amount you send. Transfers on the chain cannot be undone, so check the wallet you link.
- You are responsible for any taxes on what you receive.
- Shares, schedules and rules may change as the network grows. When they do, the docs change first.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time in the app or on the web. We may restrict or close an account that breaks these terms, for example for fraud or for using agents, and withhold rewards for the work involved. We tell you the reason, and you can ask us about it.
The service
Horizon is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it running, but we may change, pause or end parts of it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from the value of alpha, from network fees, or from wallets and services we do not run. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be waived.
Changes
When these terms change, we update the date below and tell you in the app or by email before a material change applies. Questions: [email protected] (opens in a new tab).
