How rewards work
Where the alpha comes from, the contributor vault, and how each weekly payout is shared.
Everyone is paid in SN58 alpha, the token of Bittensor subnet 58. The subnet earns new alpha all the time (its emission). 70% of what goes to miners is set aside for contributors, in one public contributor vault (a multisig address).
Points, one weekly payout
- Everything you do earns points: robot control runs and recordings alike.
- There is one payout every week. Weeks start Monday 00:00 UTC.

How a payout is shared
- Each week the vault’s alpha is split by points among everyone eligible: your share of the week’s points is your share of the alpha.
- No one person gets more than 10% of a payout.
- Whatever isn’t paid out stays in the vault’s reserve.
- Your share is added to your Robotensor balance.
From your work to your balance
- AcceptedYour run is verified, or your recording is reviewed and accepted. It earns points.
- CountingRobot control points count as soon as the run is verified. Recording points count once the recording is reviewed.
- Paid outAt the weekly payout, the vault is split by points and your share lands in your balance.
- Yours to keepWithdraw to your own wallet, or have it sent automatically. See Your balance and withdrawals.
When payouts pause
An open fraud case, a restricted account or a blocked phone pauses your payouts until it is resolved. Reversed work is taken off your later points.
Out in the open
The weekly rewards page lists every week: each contributor’s points, share, reward and payout status, under an anonymous label (and a shortened wallet address once one is linked). Never names or emails. Payouts will be linked on-chain.
The share is a starting value and may change; these docs change with it. No earnings amount or future value is guaranteed.
