Getting started

What Robotensor is, what you need, and your first steps.

Robotensor pays people to help robots learn. You can control a simulated robot with your phone, or record everyday tasks hands-free. Everything you do earns points, and every week the contributor vault is split by points and paid out in SN58 alpha, the token of Bittensor subnet 58.

No crypto wallet needed to start

You get a Robotensor balance when you sign in and pair your phone. Your payouts collect there. You only need your own wallet when you want to withdraw.

Your first steps

  1. Create your accountSign in at horizon.robotensor.ai (opens in a new tab) and choose Robot control, Recording or both.
  2. Get the appInstall the Robotensor app on your phone. See Get the app.
  3. Pair your phoneSign in on the phone with the same account and turn on Answer my computer, so your computer can call your phone when you start a robot task. This also creates your Robotensor balance.
  4. PractiseTry the practice mode first. Practice never earns points and never counts against you.
  5. Contribute and get paidDo real tasks. You see a result for each one. Accepted work earns points, and your points are paid out in alpha every week.

What you need

  • A phone: Android 10 or newer, or an iPhone on iOS 16.4 or newer.
  • Robot control: a computer with a modern browser, to watch the robot while your phone controls it.
  • Recording: a head or chest mount, so your hands stay free and in view.
